[Demelerlab] Missoula Workshop + Excursion Infos

Hey guys,

After my request to IRCC, they started processing the application, but I haven't heard what the final decision is yet.

I would have tried the option to return to Canada as a visitor if I had a visa, but that will have to be applied when the permit is approved. Having no visa would not be a problem to return from the US if the study permit extension was approved.

I tried my best to get it done, but unfortunately, I will not be able to make it. I hope to see you guys in Missoula sometime in the future. I will miss it so much this time.:( Thank you very much for making plans for my meals and other arrangements. I am so sorry about that.

If it is possible to share the talks from the workshop, please send me a Zoom link when you go there.

Hey guys!

One thing I forgot to mention. There is no bringing fresh produce across the border! That means no fruit or veggies as a snack or for lunch unless you eat it while we are still in Canada. Also there may be an opportunity to go swimming along the way. If you fancy a swim bring a towel with you as well.

Hi all,


Here are a few things to know for the upcoming trip.


We will be meeting in front of the science commons building for pickup at 8:20 on Thursday morning.


Things to bring:

-Passport

-All necessary documents to cross the border (Visa, Student Permit, etc.)

- Lunch/snacks & water bottle for the drive

-Swimsuit/shorts

-Sunscreen

-Cap

-Water Shoes (or shoes you don't mind getting wet)


Schedule


Thursday:

8:20 - Pickup

Day - Drive through Glacier Park

Evening - Dinner prepared at the house


Friday:

8:30 - Breakfast

9:00 - Leave for the workshop

9:30 - Workshop

Midday - Lunch provided by workshop

Evening - BBQ at the house


Saturday

8:30 - Breakfast

9:30 - Rafting

Evening - Dinner in the City


Sunday

9:00 - Breakfast

10:00 - leave for Lethbridge
