[Demelerlab] Supermoon Rising Party

Folks,
today is the Supermoon! It's the time when the moon's orbit is at its
perigee, the closest approach to earth, and ~ 30% brighter. On top of it it
is clear today (I even saw the Northern Lights this morning!), so we will
have an impromptu Supermoon rising party and walk out into the prairie
tonight from my house to get a good view of the moon rising over the Oldman
River canyon. Moonrise is scheduled to be at 6:55 pm, so let's plan to meet
at my house (1076 Canyon Blvd W) at 6:30 pm to leave some time for walking
to the edge of the canyon. Afterwards, we'll go back to my house for some
Zwetschgendatscherln (fresh plum cake with whipped cream) and hot beverages
(hot chocolate and gluehwein) to warm up. Bring a coat, bring a friend,
we'll see you tonight!
