Everyone, I have uploaded the protein and DNA spectral data to the download
archive. You can grab it from there and copy it into your ultrascan/data
directory, and then load it into UltraScan with the spectral fitter module.
You can already fit the spectrum to an intrinsic absorbance spectrum called
"protein" and "DNA". Load each file separately and fit them from 240-295 nm
- don't forget to click on "Update Data Plot" before fitting. Set the
extinction coefficient to "1" at 260 nm for the DNA and "1" at 280 nm for
the protein data. Set the OD cutoff to 1.0 OD. Save the result a different
name for each file ("Associate with Run").

Write down the variance in the fit. Lower is better. Once the data are
collected, I will copy the data into each person's home directory on the
uslims server, and you can analyze it from there.
