Dear Dr. Demeler,
I would suggest storing the protein at -80 degree C for long term. Usually, I have seen this protein is stable, whenever I have worked with it. If it is possible, I would suggest keeping it on dry ice while traveling to Canada. Because I know it doesn't precipitate at 4C but because we want to check the oligomerization state of this protein. I have no idea what will happen when we freeze thaw from -80 to 4, and then back to -80.

Great, thank you Jyoti! That should be more than sufficient to do all of the experiments. When I get back to Lethbridge we will schedule a zoom call with the rest of the lab so everyone is on the same page, and then we can discuss further details and confirm our experimental designs. One more question: is the sample stable at 4C, or must it be stored at -80 or -20C? Can it be at 4C (on ice) while driving back to Canada - about 6 hours?

I have packed the sample and have sent it by overnight FedEx. Most probably it will reach you by tomorrow. It contains 13 vials of 100ul, 13 mg/ml of protein (hope that is sufficient to try all different concentrations and buffers) and 10ml of 8 different buffers listed below.
